All of the information that your body needs to function and heal starts in your brain. Your brain sends the information through your entire body via the central nervous system, which is encased by the bones of your spine. 

The brain sends nerve signals to every single part of your body, and controls everything from cell division, to heart rate, breathing, digestion, movement and even hair growth.

If any of the bones of your spine shift out of alignment, they put pressure on your central nervous system. This can disrupt the information flow, causing your organs and tissues to function at a reduced capacity. This is called a subluxation.

Your central nervous system has nerves that reach every single cell, tissue and organ to tell them how to function and heal. 

A chiropractic adjustment is the manual manipulation of the spinal vertebrae to correct structural alignment and improve the body’s physical function. When the bones of the spine are not in proper alignment (called a subluxation), pressure on the nervous system can result, leading to health problems, pain, and diminished information flow from the brain to the rest of the body, which can affect the body’s ability to function and heal.
